This comprehensive survey course covers the principal geological,   geophysical, engineering and economic principles and techniques that are  used in petroleum exploration and production. Dr. Font has delivered  this course both nationally and internationally, at the University of Texas at Dallas (as a semester-long course), for Union Pacific Resources (as a two-day seminar), and sponsored by the AAPG for the Center of International Education and Development (CIED) of   PDVSA in Caracas, Venezuela (where it was presented in Spanish as a 3-day short course).

Basics of Reservoir Engineering for New Hires
 
The reservoir engineering course includes a review of development geology, reservoir properties, reservoir drives, oil and gas well production, petroleum reserves, EOR techniques, rock deformation and fractured  reservoirs.  The course also covers the rules for appraisal of oil and gas properties and presents a series of self-assessment questions, problems and helpful references.  The course is accredited by the AIPG for continuing education credits.
